Notice the signals.

Explore Instagram recommendation patterns and find the smaller accounts that keep coming back around a profile.

Enter a username, capture the suggested accounts a few times, and WhoIsMoth ranks the ones that recur. Big accounts are set aside; small, repeated ones rise to the top.

Free to start. $1.99 once to unlock a full report. No Instagram password, ever.

What WhoIsMoth does and does not do

No Instagram password

WhoIsMoth never asks for your password, cookies or login. You stay signed in to Instagram on your own device.

No private following lists

WhoIsMoth has no access to anyone’s private following list and makes no claim to.

Built from what you capture

Reports compare the suggestion lists you capture yourself on Instagram. Nothing is scraped or fetched.

Signals, not proof

A recommendation is not proof that anyone followed anyone, recently or otherwise.

What a report looks like

Each recurring account gets a Recommendation evidence score, its position across every capture, and a plain explanation of the evidence and what is missing.

The highest signal stays hidden until you unlock the report. Ranks two and three are always free to see.

How it works

  1. 1

    Enter a username

Start a report and open the profile on Instagram from your own account.

  2. 2

    Capture the suggestions

Paste or type the suggested accounts Instagram shows, review the list and save it.

  3. 3

    Refresh and capture again

Each capture is compared with the last: new, gone and moved accounts. Five captures over a few days work best.

  4. 4

    See what keeps coming back

Accounts are ranked by recurring evidence. Two results are free; the full report is a one-time $1.99.

Questions

How accurate is it?
Not validated. The Recommendation evidence score is an experimental ranking of the captures you recorded: 40% repeat appearance, 25% consistency, 20% list position and trend, 15% data completeness. Instagram’s suggestions also depend on your own activity, so a high score means “kept appearing in your captures”, nothing more. Treat it as a reason to look closer, never as a conclusion.
What can WhoIsMoth determine, and what can’t it?
It can tell you which accounts recurred across the suggestion lists you captured, and what appeared, disappeared or moved between captures. It cannot see private profiles, private following lists or messages, confirm who followed whom or when, or establish a relationship of any kind.
Why can’t it load the profile and suggestions automatically?
From you. Instagram offers no authorized way for another service to read someone’s suggested accounts, so WhoIsMoth does not scrape Instagram, never asks for your login, and fetches nothing. You capture what Instagram shows you, and the analysis uses only those captures.
What happens to my data?
Reports are tied to your browser, not an account, and are deleted automatically after the retention period (30 days by default). You can delete a report yourself at any time. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do payments work?
Checkout happens on Gumroad. WhoIsMoth never sees your card details. The report unlocks only after Gumroad confirms the sale to our server, usually within a minute.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days if the report did not work as described. See the Refund Policy.
